Promo Postcards: Way More Difficult Than They Should Be!

I’ve spent the last couple weeks agonizing over where to order postcards, whether to send sample packets or just postcards, what to put on the postcards, and other such hair-pulling decisions in the world of self-promotion.postcardfront Promo Postcards: Way More Difficult Than They Should Be!
I decided to use the USPS service PremiumPostcard, which prints the postcards, labels them, barcodes them, and mails them out to the addresses in your mailing list without you having to do a thing. You get reduced shipping rates for using the service, which is rather neato. They seem great for smaller orders; you don’t need to buy labels, print anything out or lug piles of stuff to the post office. And you can buy as many credits as you want for later use– so if you want to send out a few postcards here or there, even of different designs, this service is awesome.

As you can see, the design is rather marred by the obtrusive “To” and “From” boxes, but I think it’s made up for by how freakin’ easy it is, and I don’t think it would deter art directors.

Hoorah for simplicity!

  1. Jade,

What kind of reactions did you get to these? It sounds like an amazingly easy process.

    Thanks,
